In the era of Revival of a new epoch of the powerful state thanks to tireless care of the Leader of the Nation Hero Arkadag, the honourable President, the fine articles made by hands of Turkmen women are still more improved as national riches. Art of needlework is considered to be the one of the most important kinds of the needlework, which has been got in the inheritance from our ancestors. Red kurte, sewed by mother of Hero Arkadag Ogulabat eje, and the socks, knitted by her and stored in the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan are the sample of faultless work.
On the 3rd of March 2026 at the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan was carried out a solemn conference named “The handicraft of Ogulabat eje is an exemplary school for Turkmen women” together with Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Мajlis of Turkmenistan, Мinistry of culture of Turkmenistan and Central Committee of the Union of Women of Turkmenistan. In the network of the conference was organized an exhibition. At the exhibition were presented the delicate and elegantly crafted kurte of our brides, which remind ancient times, green, yellow, and white capes that embody the colours of flowers reminiscent of the Turkmen spring, and hand-woven silk keteni in various colours. In the course of the exhibition, the images of beautiful flowers and the articles created by our artistic women are reflected in the paintings of our painters and young artists.
The conference was carried out by the head of «Paýhas synagy» division of «Altyn asyr Türkmenistan» TV and radio channel of the State committee of Turkmenistan for TV, broadcasting and cinematography Aknabat Klycheva. Then the floor was given to the Turkmen language and literature teacher of Ashgabat school №31, member of Halk Maslahaty of Ashgabat city Gyzylgul Ballyeva, deputy of Мajlis of Turkmenistan Menli Divanova, primary classes teacher of Ashgabat school №132, member of Central Committee of the Union of Women of Turkmenistan Ogultach Bаbаеvа, vocalist of «Estrada artistleri» ensemble of Mukam palace of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Gulshat Gurdova, artist of Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy the Great Main academic drama theatre Mayagul Annaeva, artist of Magtymguly National musical drama theatre Gulnabat Abdullaeva, lecturer, acting head of department of Turkmen literature of Dovletmammet Azady Turkmen national institute of world languages, member of Central Committee of the Union of Women of Turkmenistan Aygul Gurbanova, head of department of Cultural values, restoration and museum business of Turkmen State institute of culture Maral Hojagulyeva, head of Advertising and publishing division of the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan Bossan Ataeva. The participants of the conference noted that the red kurte, which was sewn by the mother of our National Leader, Hero Arkadag, is an invaluable treasure for the younger generation.
