In the year «Independent neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses», our beloved Motherland, which is turning into a flower garden thanks to the far-sighted, wise and unparalleled efforts of our honourable President Serdar Berdymukhamedov, is growing and changing.
Ashgabat is a wonderful combination of beauty and modernity. Dwelling houses and other facilities built in the white marble capital provide a high standard of living for our people. Facilities built in the capital are considered to be the unique works of art that will never be repeated. Magnificent buildings and lush parks adorn the daytime appearance of Ashgabat, and the unique night lights make it even more beautiful.
On the 25th of May 2013, our capital, the pearl of Asia, Ashgabat, was included in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest number of white marble houses in the country. The 25th of May, which has become a noble tradition every year, is celebrated as Ashgabat City Day.
On the 21st of May 2026 at the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan is organized an exhibition named «The White City of Dream», dedicated to Ashgabat City Day. The portrait of our honourable President, our State Flag and our State Emblem were given a prominent place at the exhibition.
At the exhibition are presented the old photos connected with the history of Ashgabat. Besides it, at the festive exhibition is also possible to see photos of modern magnificent buildings and parks, wise books by Hero Arkadag and the Hero President, jewellery and the fine picture carpets, woven by our talented skilled carpet-makers.
The exhibition was opened by the head of advertising and publishing department of the State Museum of the State Cultural Centre of Turkmenistan Bossan Ataeva with the words of greeting. Then the floor was given to the subeditor of «Edebiýat we sungat» newspaper, poet Suleiman Ilamanov, Honoured cultural worker of Turkmenistan, poetess Oguljemal Charyeva and the lecturer of the «Architecture» faculty of the Turkmen state architectural institute Mamajan Haitmyradova.
There have been the interesting speeches about history of foundation of Ashgabat city, about beautiful places of the city.
