The International day Novruz is celebrated in our country with the big joy and enthusiasm. Being the international spring holiday, Novruz means well-being, happiness, generosity and abundance. It is a holiday, which promotes the world among our people and popularizes our national traditions all over the world. The Turkmen people take thoroughly preparation for Novruz holiday. The traditions connected with Novruz, origin in the time immemorial. Novruz - new day, Novruz - the fine day, which symbolizes the beginning of revival and prosperity of nature. In day of a holiday people wish each other well. They treat each other with sweets. Richly set holiday tables are decorated by various viands such фы national dishes as « Novruz kozhe», « Novruz yarma», made of cereals, there are also bread, semeni, a batch, dograma, puff cakes, palaw.
In the year of revival of a new epoch of the powerful state in the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan is organized an exhibition named «Novruz – New Year's Eve» on the occasion of the International day Novruz. At the exhibition are presented works of our artists, glorify beauty of the nature, including Turkmen woman’s adornments and samples of embroidery, and also a number of modern jewellery stored in a treasury of museum. In the course of the exhibition have been presented pictures of our painters, where are represented fine landscapes of our country. Here are also presented articles of everyday life of our people, picture carpets decorating Turkmen yurta, semeni, bakery products, bread, national dishes, which are prepared at Novruz holiday. At the exhibition are also demonstrated the carpets stored in funds of a museum, showing the fine nature of our country, its green meadows, fine vegetable and animal worlds.
At the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan is organized an exhibition named «Novruz – New Year's Eve» on the occasion of the International day Novruz. In the auguration of the exhibition participated creative personalities, poets. The exhibition was opened by the manager of the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan Meretgeldi Charyyev.
Then the floor was given to the teacher of Turkmen State school for culture and art, a member of Ashgabat city Halk Maslahaty Jumaberdi Artykov, director of “Watan mukaddesligi» museum Rovshen Nurmyradov, Honoured Art Worker of Turkmenistan, poetess Oguljemal Charyyeva, deputy director of Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy the Great museum of Fine Art of Turkmenistan Kakilik Ovezberdiyeva, chairman of trade-union organization of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan Tachsoltan Kakajanova.
