At the State museum of the State cultural centre of Turkmenistan was carried organized an exhibition named «Jewellery art is a treasury of national heritage»


On July 25, 2022 the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan solemnly opened an exhibition entitled «Jewellery art is a treasury of the national heritage».

Turkmen jewelry art passed down from one generation to another has found a new path of development as a result of support of our Esteemed President of Turkmenistan. This exhibition presents jewelry collections that have recently arrived to the State Museum of Turkmenistan and have significantly enriched its fund. This jewelry, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, was donated by Swiss citizen Natalie Markarian-Fard. The entire collection, was transferred to the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.

Collected with great love and bequeathed to Turkmenistan, the Markarian-Fard collection has found a worthy place in its homeland. The collection includes more than 80 items of the 19th-20th centuries.

The exhibition opening was led by the Department Deputy of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan Bakhartach Rustemova. Among the invited guests were the chairman of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan Charymurat Yazmyradov, deputy director of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan for scientific work, candidate of historical sciences Khandurdy Gurbanov, honored worker of culture of Turkmenistan and poet Oguljemal Charyeva, honored artist of Turkmenistan Amanmuhammet Khydyrov, teacher of art school, art historian Oguljan Berdieva, teacher of children's art school named after Byashim Nurali Nuryeva Ogulgul, teacher of jewelry art of a special children's art school named after Byashim Nurali Shamyrat Rejepov.

The donated collection of Mrs. Natalie Markarian-Fard significantly enriched the museum's collection with highly artistic items and unique rarities. The exhibition also presents modern jewelry, harmoniously combined with antique one. It should be noted that such an exhibition is organized in the State Museum for the first time.

The staff of the museum sincerely appreciated to the Hero Arkadag and honorable President of Turkmenistan for conditions support on researching and propaganda of the national values of Turkmen people and expressed him long life and great success for the well-being of Turkmen nation.
