An inter-museum conference was held at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan

During the period of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, under the leadership of our esteemed President, a number of works are being carried out in our country to transfer museum work to a digital system, as in all sectors, and to improve the work of our museums in accordance with the requirements of the time. The digital system, which relies on the accessibility of information and technologies, also creates broad opportunities for opening new directions of interaction in museum work. The introduction of a digital system in museums greatly contributes to the study, preservation and popularization of our cultural heritage, history, culture, and the past of the Turkmen people through innovative technologies. On July 7, 2025, an inter-museum conference was held at the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, based on the words of the esteemed President at the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on July 4 via a digital system, about the special place that museums of our country have in preserving, studying and popularizing the rich spiritual values of our people, our cultural heritage. As part of the conference, an exhibition of newly received values was organized at the State Museum. It showcased archaeological finds related to medieval monuments, as well as ethnographic values collected this year. At the conference Meretgeldi Charyev, Director of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, Ismail Orazov, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, Maksat Kerimov, Director of the Museum of "Vatan Mukadesligi", Maksatmyrat Amanov, Head of the Department of the Study and Restoration of Monuments of the National Administration for the Protection, Study and Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments of Turkmenistan, Maral Khojaguliyeva, Head of the Department of Restoration of Cultural Values and Museum Work of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, Senior Lecturer, Bossan Atayeva, Head of the Department of Advertising and Publishing of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, Guljeren Guljaeva, Senior Researcher of the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, Guljemal Annamuradova, Deputy Head of the Department of Nature and Local History of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan, and Bilbil Saparova, 3rd year student of the Department of museum study, Preparation of Cultural and Natural Heritage Monuments of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture have made their speech. In their speeches, they spoke in detail about the measures being taken to improve the work of our country’s museums in accordance with the requirements of the time, in particular, about the introduction of a digital system in museums and their features. Currently, the largest museums of our country are given the opportunity to travel virtually and get to know the treasures in museums closely by introducing the “Virtual Museum” digital system. Collecting museum treasures and enriching the museum fund are one of the main directions of museum work. These were also discussed in detail in the speeches. The speeches also spoke in detail about the ongoing work on switching to the QR code system, which allows us to obtain detailed information about each exhibit separately, among the extensive conditions created by the digital system. The participants of the conference wished the esteemed President, who creates extensive opportunities for the introduction of a digital system in our country’s museums to promote our national culture and art to the world, good health and prosperity for the country and the country. After the conference, the participants visited the exhibition of museum values.
